'Aguirre, Der Zorn Gottes', with live soundtrack performed by Legowelt

Danny Wolfers is a Dutch electronica producer and DJ who gained worldwide fame under the name Legowelt. Invited by Film Fest Ghent, Wolfers composed a new soundtrack for one of his favorite films: Werner Herzog's Aguirre, Der Zorn Gottes.
The film tells the story of an obsessed and insane search for the secret golden city of El Dorado through the inhospitable Jungles of the Amazon rainforest. Legowelt features an abridged, more visually oriented version of this film over which he will provide the soundtrack live with synthesizers, inspired in part by the original mesmerizing soundtrack by German krautrock band Popul Vuh and the insanity of legendary protagonist Klaus Kinski.
