Seventh Heaven (1927) is probably the most famous silent movie by the still unrecognised filmmaker Frank Borzage.
Martin Scorsese is a great admirer. He calls this stunning melodrama starring Janet Gaynor and Charles Farell a “true love song, brimming with sexual passion and shrouded in a haze of mysticism.”
Film Fest Ghent brings a unique screening of this gem from the silent film era with a live performance of a new score that Dutch musician and film critic Kevin Toma has specially written, commissioned by FFG.
