Edition 2024
During the WSA Intimate Conversations a small group of participants is invited to engage with experienced composers who share their views on the art of film, television and game scoring.

10:00 Bijloke Studio 3

Behind award-winning scores and platinum albums lie personal stories, goals and beliefs. What is the value of music in a profoundly changing film industry? How do you develop an authentic artistic fingerprint? What intermediate milestones can help to develop your talent? Starting from his own experiences, Carlos Rafael Rivera (Lessons in Chemistry, Ezra) initiates an intimate dialogue that touches upon a variety of themes, as broad as the scoring industry itself. Based on the interests and questions of the participants, the conversation flows organically from one topic to the next.

Carlos Rafael Rivera is a Grammy and two-time Emmy winning composer and educator with a multifaceted career in Film, TV, and the Performing Arts. His work includes scores for Netflix’s Godless, for which he received a Primetime Emmy, his award-winning score for The Queen’s Gambit and for Lessons in Chemistry and Griselda.

Tickets for the WSA Intimate Conversations will be available later this month.
