In the Tracks of Maurice Jarre

In the Tracks of is a series of documentaries about film music composers. The festival is showing a double bill featuring two French composers: Gabriel Yared and Maurice Jarre. Yared wrote the film scores for The English Patient, Cold Mountain, The Talented Mister Ripley and Breaking and Entering, among others. Maurice Jarre is the second composer. With his brilliant career in which he wrote 200 compositions for films and 70 for theater, he has become one of the most legendary film music composers. For Lawrence of Arabia, Doctor Zhivago and A Passage to India, three films by David Lean, he won an Oscar for best music.
