Live Track Cinema is an initiative of KASKcinema, Democrazy and Film Fest Gent where pop- and rock musicians are invited to bring image and music together. Not your ordinary concert or film but exciting cutting edge audio visual experiences.

STUFF. is one of the most stricking Belgian bands to enter the scene last year. Born from nightly jamm sessions in White Cat in Ghent, these five young musicians fuse together hiphop, electronic music, jazz and funk. Their debute album was named 'Album of the year' in 2015 by HUMO magazine, and newspaper De Standaard called them 'The most exciting thing since dEUS'.

On May 28th they will improvise a live soundtrack for 'A Page of Madness' during Live Track Cinema.
'A Page of Madness' is Japan's most famous silent movie. 90 years after its premiere it still is one of the most baffling and radical movies in the history of Nippon cinema. Director Teinosuke Kinugasa uses expressionist deformations and extremely stylized imagery to tell the story of a man working in a psychiatric institution to be closer to his deranged wife and to plunge the viewer into a world of madness. The dramatic shock effects and rich visual texture with complex overlay images provide a feast for the eyes.

Tickets €15 (pre sale) / €17 (at the door) through the website of Democrazy.

This Live Track Cinema is a collaboration between KASKcinema, Democary and Film Fest Gent, supported by the City of Ghent as a closure of the film season at KASKcinema. Saturday 28th May | 20:00
