Arthur Brouns
Arthur Brouns is a Belgian composer, arranger, and music producer known for blending electronic and orchestral elements in his work across film, theatre, and dance.
Recently, Arthur composed the scores for the feature documentary "Dance Me to the End", the series "Believe", which follows the Belgian Red Devils, and Wim Vandekeybus' "Blood Wedding" for the International Theater of Amsterdam. In "Infamous Offspring", another Vandekeybus project, Arthur co-created the soundtrack with Warren Ellis. He also contributed additional music to the Emmy-nominated Netflix series "Encounters". For "Blood Wedding", Arthur collaborated with the internationally acclaimed vocal group Eva Quartet of The Mystery of Bulgarian Voices, composing both music and lyrics.
Arthur began his career at just seventeen, performing at major events such as Tomorrowland and Dimensions Festival. Over the years, he has worked with prestigious orchestras like the Hungarian Studio Orchestra and Galaxy Studio Orchestra. His diverse portfolio includes collaborations with high-profile clients such as Netflix, the BBC, M6, and Nike, highlighting his versatility as a composer.
In addition to his solo projects, Arthur leads his own ensemble, Cortex Ensemble, which performs concerts and records film scores. Through this ensemble, he continues to explore and refine his musical style, bringing an innovative and distinct sound to both live performances and cinematic works.
Outside of composing and performing, Arthur serves as the course leader at the Film Scoring Academy of Europe, where he teaches Music Technology.
