David Heymann
David Heymann is a two-time nominee of the Hollywood Music in Media Awards (HMMA) and works primarily for film and TV.
He has worked on several TV shows for the Asian streaming platform iQIYI, including the award-winning Chinese drama series My Journey To You.
In collaboration with music producer J2, Heymann has contributed to multiple trailer albums, with music placements in productions by Netflix, HBO, Peacock, and more.
As an orchestrator, he worked on the globally popular game Elder Scrolls: Online in 2014. Later, he joined the music department for Sony Pictures' third installment of the Smurfs movie.
Heymann was also involved in scoring the feature documentary Light Chaser, which won the Chinese Academy Award for Best Music. His score for the short film Lo Que Siembras earned him the prestigious Gil Soundtrack Award 2022, the highest film scoring competition prize in the world, chaired by Oscar-winner Alejandro Amenábar, and also won the Best Score award at the Los Angeles Film Awards.
In addition, he has collaborated with Grammy-nominated cellist Christine Kim on a New Age album and composed concert works for renowned clarinetist Seunghee Lee.
