Emmy-winning composer Sean Callery has received 17 Emmy nominations and 4 wins, making him one of the most-nominated composers of all time.
Callery recently scored National Geographic’s highly anticipated The Hot Zone, starring Julianna Margulies, which premieres May 27, 2019. Callery also composes the music for Showtime’s Emmy and Golden Globe award-winning drama Homeland, starring Claire Danes and Mandy Patinkin, as well as Netflix’s Peabody Award-winning Jessica Jones, starring Krysten Ritter.
His music for Season 2 of Jessica Jones was nominated for Outstanding Music Composition for a Series, earning Callery his seventeenth Emmy nomination.
In 2016, Callery won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music for Jessica Jones. He also received a nomination for his score on Fox’s Steven Spielberg-produced TV series, Minority Report. With 10 Emmy nominations for 24, Callery is the only composer nominated every year for a series that ran more than three seasons. He was also nominated for Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music for CBS’s Sherlock Holmes-inspired drama series, Elementary, starring Johnny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu, and was recognized in the same category for both Homeland in 2012 and Reelz miniseries The Kennedys in 2011.
Callery’s music has also been heard on ABC’s Designated Survivor, starring Kiefer Sutherland, CBS’s paranormal drama Medium, Fox’s longest running drama Bones, ABC/Marvel’s Inhumans, and the feature film Small Time, starring Christopher Meloni and Dean Norris.
