Susie Gillis
Susie joined Orchestra Contractor Isobel Griffiths Ltd as a trainee fixer in 2013, prior to which she worked in the production department for the music publisher ABRSM. Her formative professional years were spent as assistant to the composer Richard Harvey, where she was responsible for everything from booking musicians for sessions to coordinating Richard’s charity work.
Susie has always had a passion for the arts, studying music at King’s College London and later gaining her Masters degree in musicology there, specialising in music and film.
Susie grew up in a musical family, learning the violin, bass and piano as a child, and gaining an appreciation for an eclectic variety of musical styles, as well as an insight into the professional demands of the career musician. This upbringing has informed her admiration for the musicians with whom she works via Isobel Griffiths Ltd, and Susie feels truly privileged to be in their orbit every day at the studio.
Susie became CEO of Isobel’s company in 2024 after 6 years as deputy to Lucy Whalley. She learned a huge amount from Isobel and Lucy and plans to continue their legacy of excellence in booking world class session musicians in London.
